fill out protected form, email it back

Is this different from creating the macro button linking to a website? I want
to email an application (protected form .doc) to a customer, have them fill
it out then click on a 'Submit Application' link in the email so the filled
out form can be emailed back to me. I've been all over mvps.org and several
different forums looking for a simple solution, but am having no luck. So far
I've only been able to double (not single) click on my created macro/link and
have a blank email to myself come up. I'm about 14 hours into trying to
figure this one out! Please help... TIA

You're using a MacroButton field, I take it?

You can get that to trigger on a single click by setting
Application.Options.ButtonFieldClicks to 1 (in an AutoOpen macro, for example).
But you should reset it to 2 when your document closes (AutoClose macro) in case
other documents the user has base on double-clicks.
