Files & Settings Transfer Wizard Help

My new computer arrives in a few hours, and I need help. My current PC has
Win XP Home and is completely up to date. My new pc will have a new windows
xp disc which only comes with service pack 2.

Will the F.A.S.T. Wizard transfer my updates to my new pc bearing in mind
that it will have a different win XP Home installed on it and if so how do i
select all these files - where are they saved on my old computer?

Thanks so much for your quick response, and I beg you to be patient with
me... I do understand that my Windows XP settings will be transferred, but
does that include the Updates, and if so how do I get them operational once
they are on my computer???

Windows Updates are non-transferable using the
Files and Settings Transfer Wizard. You'll need
to visit the Windows Update web site to download
the latest critical updates for your new computer.

Figure out which ones the system needs, then download the individual
updates on a system with a fast internet connection using the windows
update catalog, copy them to CD and then install on your system.

Thanks to all out there for the help. I unfortunately had no choice but to go
the slow download route. IT TOOK 10 HOURS for mine and 21 Hours for my
husband's pc. But its done and dusted. Come on Microsoft, bring out all these
updates on a cd PLEEEAAASE
