files saved as .dbx files when i tried to move

I was attempting to move my mail from Outlook Express over to a new comp.
When i exported them they copied to CD as .dbx files. Now I can't seem to
open them in Outlook. Any clues?

Most probably they got the read-only attribute on the CD; remove it.

No, it will not. You need to open them in Outlook Express on the new
machine and export them to Outlook. This process requires Outlook and
Outlook Express both be installed and functional on the new machine. Use
export from Outlook Express to transfer messages and import from Outlook to
transfer addresses. These pages will help you get your .DBX files into
