files save as jpeg not jpg how do I change this?

When I save a file from Internet Exeplorer
(V6.0.2800.1106) it changes the exetension from jpg to
jpeg. Some programs I have do not display files with 4
letter exetensions. Can somebody please tell me how to
change this?

Simple, just name it manually by doing saveas, then type
the name u want for the picture. For example
type
pictureName.jpg
in the location box, windows will save the file w/ that
extension instead of automatically save it as .jpg

Thank you for your reply. I think I need to add that I
need a way to change the default extension to jpg not jpeg
in Explorer.
