Filenames in TIF cause delete function to stop

Trying to get rid of old, no longer used profiles - W2kPro. When trying to
delete the Temporary Internet Files folders the delete process stops with a
message that a filename is too long and will have to be renamed before they
can be deleted. I'm able to go through a folder and rename the long file
names and then finish the delete for that folder but it is so time consuming.
I don't think these long gone users ever cleaned out their files and they
have something like 20 subfolders each that have to be examined. Does anyone
know of a good workaround? Appreciate any help. Thanks. Hoss

Pa Bear - tried that. The machine I was trying to clean was XP pro rather
than W2K. Tried deleting Temporary Internet Files folder. It told me that a
file name was too long and would have to be renamed and didn't delete any
files. Could not rename any of the long files. Then tried to delete
Content.IE5, same result. Tried to delete each of the subdirectories listed-
same result. Then started to delete the files and was unable to delete or
rename these extremely long-named files but at least I was able to recover
some disk space. However, after spending an inordinate amount of time doing
so, returned to my own machine which was running W2k, mapped to the drive
that had the offending directories and had no problem deleting at the major
levels. So XP must be just a little different than 2000. Thanks for your
reply.
