But be sure to spell "accelerators" correctly
Thanks. This got sent before I could finish my post. Anyone had any
issues with a program called Burst Copy? It claims to be an accelerator
of sorts. I was able to get about a 10% speed increase moving large
video files from my C drive to my NAS drive.

However, the last time I used it it took off at what it said was 30M
when it normally ran at around 3M. The files looked like they were
moving and it completed the transfer in way less time than normal. The
computer then locked up and would not reboot to Windows 2000. After many
hours I had to reinstall W2K completely. Even a repair was not possible.
Said there was "partition damage and missing OS".

Oh, those files it said it was moving.... They never got to the NAS
drive and I lost about a weeks work.

Watch out for this program. Tech support never, ever replies so you are
on your own.

I would be very wary of ANY software that claimed to increase data
transfer across a LAN!
