file size?

Hi Group,
I'm trying to put together a small slide show with some pictures. I've
optimized my images to about 75k. But every time I create a new slide and
drop in a 75k Jpeg, the .ppt file size increases by about 2.5 mb. Wazzzzup
with that? I was hoping to put together a show of about a dozen images that
I could email to friends. Any help understanding this would be appreciated.

Thanks Luc,
I finally figured it out.The difference is whether I drag an image into PPT
(adds about 2.5 MB to the ppt file size, regardless of the size of the
image) versus using Insert>picture, which only adds the size of the image,
about 50-75k.

Hi, Bob,

For creating a slideshow, PowerPoint might be an option, but I would
still recommend a flash gallery maker like Wondershare Flash Slideshow
Builder. Pretty very easy to use, and free online show sharing with
animiation effects. Don't worry about mailing to your friends with
large file size - just point them to their website!
For more info, just refer to http://www.flash-slide-show.com

Regards.
