Our office needs a simple file server. Can we accomplish this with XP
serving somehow as a server?? Right now we have NT and can't wait to dump
it. We don't need it.

I would suggest that you investigate Linux for your server - no licence fees
and infinitely scaleable.

As a beginner I would probably totally lost, no?
We probably already need a consultant.
