File Open Default View

The File Open default view is evidently Large Icons on my Win2k machine,
since whenever I open a file from different applications the view I
first see if Large Icons. Is there a way to change this so that the
default view is List instead ?

Open My Computer & select view as list. Now whenever you open my computer its
default view is List.

You may set it Opening "My Computer" set the view as deired, click
Tools, Folder Options, View, Applt to all Folders.
