File Not accepted by windows movie maker

I took some video with my digital camera and tried to import the video into
movie maker but it doesnt accept the file that the video is. Its saved as a
quicktime movie. i already tried to open it and do a SAVE AS.. mpeg or avi
and that doesnt work. Anyone have any ideas how to convert the video to an
acceptable format for movie maker?
