File Formats Supported by Movie Maker

I've burned some DVDs with a .VOB file extension and would like to edit these
with MM. How can I get MM to read them? What DVD scanners (VHS to DVD) will
burn in *.avi, *.mpeg or other formats acceptable to MM?

You need to "rip" the video from the DVD or use a program that will convert
VOB files to AVI files.
Nero is a great tool for this plus it is a piece of software that everybody
with a DVD burner should IMO own. There are many other programs out there as
well, somebody just posted one a couple days ago.
