Word 2003 - Windows 2000 Professional
Not sure if this is a Word question but when I use any commands across the
top the information under those commands take seconds to view. They seem to
appear faded and then become clearer, but each command takes time.

Thanks for your time.

Is that the _only_ thing that's slowed down on your computer?

Have you not Restarted in a long time? Pieces of programs that you've
opened and closed could still be hanging around using up RAM.

You should tell us what the bad setting was, so the next time someone
asks about it, we can tell them how to fix it.

Under Windows help I found ' fade effects' which looked like what I needed
but my access to Display was disabled, so I had to go to IT. My copy of the
help file directed (Control Panel | Display | Effects | Transition Effects)
but I didnt actually see him do it.
