a .wdb file is a Works database file. Try opening the file in Works and
re-save in a format that Word or Excel can open like
..cvs or .txt. If you have MS Access it might be able to open the file for
you.

A .wdb file is a Works database file. Doubtful if it would convert to .doc
in any recognizable characters. It might open in Excel or better, in Access.
If Works is still available, you might want to open it there and save the
database in the DBase or Comma Delimited format, Excel or Access would
recognize these formats without a problem.

Other options might be third party converters.

If this doesn't help, you might want to post this query to the Works
newsgroup.

You don't specify which version of Works you have. If you open the file in Works and
click File menu/Save As, and select as File Type: CSV (comma separated values), the
converted .csv file should open in Excel. There might be some formatting that you'll
have to adjust, and then save it in Excel as an .xls file.
