file association or workaround?

We have some win2k pro (~30) with ts client configured to access our quality
application on Win2k server in application mode.
The application send alert to user through our mail system and attach file.
Can we link these attach to mstc.exe "with our configuration" so when users
open the attach, automatically open the client terminal and the settings
inside of attachement are proceeded from the application?
There are another way?

No, because the file does not open with MSTSC, but rather with a program
loaded on the Terminal Server. The feature you're inquiring about is called
Content Redirection, and this is a feature of most full-featured enhancement
products like Citrix MetaFrame & Tarantella SGD.

This is NOT possible w/o a 3rd party product like the afore mentioned.
