file association editor for Win98SE et al c/f PricelessWare 2003

Hiya,
I'd like to find a freeware file association editor (Win98SE, et al).
Initially I had graphics files associated with Macromedia Fireworks but I
needed a faster viewing mechanism. So I set common graphics associations to
XnView from within XnViews options dialog. But the icon used in explorer to
show the association is very nondescript. Unfortunately using the explorer
file types window doesn't seem to include/list graphics files! Besides I'd
like to be able to change associations in bulk rather than individually
(which would be rather tedious...).

Further, PricelessWare 2003 web site has a link to 'file association tool'
but the anchor doesn't exist! Perhaps it went shareware :) Can anyone help?

Info from Freedom of Association, Version 1.2
As far as I can see it's freeware. It's an old tool ( W95/W98 ) , but I have
no problems under W98SE. Maybe there is a newer version, but I don't know
that.
I can post the utility (474 KB) in a binary group if you like (
alt.binaires.cracks.phrozen-crew ?? ) because this newsserver is a
textserver only. Sending by email is also possible, but that hasn't my
preference.
I don't think the zdnet link is valid after 4 years, but you never know.

All PC Mag utilities are available only by $ubscription these days.
There are a few (illegal) links out there for downloading those
programs off of other servers though.
