File and Transfer Wizard

I had to install Win XP on a new formatted drive because
the old copy wouldn't restore no matter how I tried. My
question is I moved the old files to another hard drive in
my computer and would like to reinstall some of them but
not all.
When I start the wizard to reinstall there isn't a question
to where I would like the files installed.

I understand that Windows is restoreing my files to my
present XP enviornment but when I set up the Wizard I did
not want my settings just my files. Is there a way I can
choose and install which files I want?

Thanks
