File and Print sharing not working.

Hi everyone,

Sharing is not working at all on my Vista machine. Whenever I change the
"Network File and Printer Sharing" to allow sharing of the printers and
Public folders, the settings always reverts back to turned off. When I
attempt to share a folder of printer the share never gets created. The only
error I get is if I attempt to create the share through the properties of
the folder and select "Advanced Sharing". The error contains the following
text:

"An error occurred while trying to create share Test. There are no more
endpoints available from the endpoint mapper.

The shared resource was not created at this time."

What am I missing here? Have I turn something of I shouldn't have? Please
help.

Chris.

I am having a similar problem too. I have an old Window 98 which I trying to
reconnect to the network printer through the main computer which as now been
installed with Windows Vista. My notebook computer has Windows XP Pro and I
was able to add & create a printer through the same computer computer in
order to print from my notebook computer. Before I can rule out any
possibility that maybe windows 98 machine doesn't have the program
capabilities to connect to vista? Please let me know.

Thanks
