File access dates and times.

Hi All:

I know this question maybe rather simple, but it is
something I am trying to accomplish. I would like to
monitor file that have been accessed and by whom. I have
set up the windows explorer to show the last accessed
dates and times, however, almost as fast as i click on a
folder or window, those times and such change to reflect
the current time. I have use the /ta function in dos, and
seem to have some success. The issue now is that i am
unable (using the "Recent Docuements folder (I know these
file have not been deleted)) to determine who has accessed
these files (this is a non-remote workstation), any help
in doing this would be greatly appreciated.

Mark.

Hi;

yes I have seen your reply in the other group, and thank
you for youre help. The only thing is that I am not
confident that the dates and times that the last accessed
column gives me. i am unable to find who has accessed
this file on this PC, I've looked at the recent/history
folders, I even went to the programs that would be the
obvious one's to use when viewing this file, to no avail.
I see that the file is being accessed, but can notverify
who. Any help would be nice.
