Fields not showing in field list

I have a lengthy report that is based on a query. Halfway through building
the report, I added some fields to the underlying tables, I added those
fields to the query on which the report is based, too. They show up there.
However, the fields do not show up in the field list in the report design
view. Any idea what is going on? Is there a limit on how many fields a
report can have (I had to copy and restart the report, b/c I received a
message saying I could not add any more fields to the table unless I had
erased some earlier)?

Thanks,
A.

There is a limit of 255 fields for queries and tables and therefore a limit
of 255 fields for reports.

There is a limit on the number of controls (754?) that a form or report can
have over the lifetime of the report. Deleting a control after it has been
saved, does not recover the "slot" that was used.

If your query runs and shows all the fields, then they should be available
on the report. Are you sure that the report is using the query?
