I have a database that has several tables, with queries set
to be populated by entry into forms. As a custID is entered
in the form, some data is populated from the main table.
All our forms are designed in the same way.
On one form when I start to type the custID I get the
message Field cannot be updated. (Error 3164). I press
enter and it clears the dialogue box, and I am then able to
enter the rest of the custID and proceed through the form.
I have checked and the field is not Locked, there are no
other users in the database so the records are not being
locked by another user; all the properties are set exactly
like the other forms.
What is going on with this one particular form? There are
over 50 expressions used to develop this particular form;
is that the problem?
