FHG Radium MP3 Codec

Hi, just installed an MP3 codec but my programs cannot detect it. It just
doesn't appear in the list. I can only see these:

ACELP.net
CCITT A-Law
CCITT u-Law
DSP Group TrueSpeech(TM)
GSM 6.10
IMA ADPCM
Microsoft ADPCM
Microsoft G.723.1
PCM
Windows Media Audio V1
Windows Media Audio V2

I un-installed an MP3 codec from InterVideo before installing the Radium
codec. Could left overs be interfering with Radium? I'm not sure how to
completely remove a codec other than from 'Audio Codecs' in Device Manager
(I am using WinXP Pro).

Any suggestions on how I can get MPEG Layer-3 to appear under my encoding
options?
