feedback pro joysticks on XP

gutsy

Its been a long time now that XP has been out. Why has
there not been any drivers made to make the Sidewinder
Force Feedback Pro joysticks work on XP. Its an obvious
issue, so why has nothing been done for around 2 years.
Thanks for no help at the driver site microsoft. And
thanks for not even placing an explanation for why the
drivers won't work. I bet the original drivers will work
but since you put some compatibility junk on it, Xp wont
let you install them, whats the worst that could happen,
like really, why don't you make Xp friendly drivers that
recognize Xp as an Op it can install on. GOD. Do something
about this!!!! Nobody ever gives incite on this either.
Its a microsoft product that is incompatible on a
microsoft Operating system, that is disgusting. My now my
$200 joystick (when it was new) is now useless and all its
fancy options. Thanks micro.

It wasn't intended to be helpful as he didn't ask for help. He complained.
He berated Microsoft. He was illiterate. So are you.

The Sidewinder drivers are included in XP.

Connect joystick to PC, go the Control Panel and click on Game Controllers.
Use the AutoDetect feature and XP will do its 'thing'.
