Hi,
A dutch woman was concerned about her kids using msn messenger to long.
She wants to limit the ammount of time a kid uses msn messenger.
To me as a programmer this seems an interesting problem.
I know in windows NT it was possible to specify the login times when users
where allowed to login...
However this woman's requirements are a bit different.
I also told her limiting her kids might make them aggressive, etc.
Though I can also see other usages for this kind of functionality.
I have no idea how much time I spent on certain programs.
I already told my requirements a few years ago that a time logging feature
per program would be very usefull to get insight
into how much time I or any other person spends on certain programs.
Also for businesses this also seems a bit of an interesting solution to
share computers among their workforce... or for schools/college/universities
where
there are limited resources available and have to be shared...
An administrator can then set a time usage limit per student etc... or maybe
even measuring how long a student spent time on doing his practices etc...
to see if he actually tried
Please forward this message to anybody within microsoft who could make all
this 'time stuff' a reality
I'm sure it will add to reasons why people like to buy microsoft windows
instead of buying competing solutions/products
