Faxmonitor says "Unable to find User" when trying to fax from Win Server 2003

Hi there,

I have a problem that keeps me searching google since *weeks*:

Its about a Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard x32 Edition with Exchange
2003 and TS enabled. I have installed the Windows Fax Service and
created a Fax device under Printers and Faxes. The fax device is using
the Microsoft Shared Fax Driver.
Now, if I try to send a fax, the Faxmonitor tells me

* Looking for user
* Unable to find user

and after a time

* Fax couldn´t be sent

Then the fax message remains in the Faxclientconsole in the folder
"Outgoing".

David Tobit coexists on that server (it has to until faxing works :-/).
Is it possible that the mapi32.dll which is frequently overwritten
through David is the main problem? Which "user" can not be found?

Every help is appreciated!

Thanx in advance

Hi there,

After I had contact with the Hylafax support I could fix the problem:

The user under which Microsoft Fax Services is running didn´t have the
appropriate privileges. I changed the properties of FAX in Computer
Management and allowed the NetworkService to queue fax jobs. Now the
sun shines again.

Thanx
