Faxing problem

I have a new XP pro installed and it has all service paks
installed, but when setting up my faxing in the install
microsoft software in control panel and checking the
faxing I get a message that I should insert service pak
CD 1 and proceed. I only have one CD and it does not
work what is the problem.

I have a DSL modem.
Please help

If you have DSL how do you propose to fax, pray? Unless you have an analogue
modem, correctly configured and connected to a standard phone line faxing
will NOT work. There is no such thing as a DSL modem, a modem is a device
that recognises telephone signals - DSL is a connection to a huge network so
no dial-up (and therefore no moduation to audio is required). You don't
dial-up to connect to DSL, do you?
