Fax Console freezes PC

Lately fax console has decided to freeze up the PC. This can happen either
when a fax comes in or when sending (but not every time). The progress
dialogue gets to 1 second and then everything freezes. The cursor doesn't
move and I cannot change applications. It is not even possible to open task
manager using ctrl+alt+del. The only option is to switch off the PC.

Yes I have had this problem too for some time now. I have tried uninstall &
reinstall via Add/Remove programs to no avail. I can send faxes O.K but not
receive at all or freezes. Hoping for some help soon
