Favorites folder question

Using IE6, Earthlink as ISP & WinXP Home. I seem to have several Favorites
folders in my directory with various Modified Dates. I want to back up my
system and am not sure which Favorites folder to backup. How can I tell
which is the "real" Favorites and is it safe to delete all the other
Favorite folders? I want to keep things as simple as possible.

The default folder is C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\{username}\FAVORITES.
You should not delete the other folders, simply leave them alone and
use and backup this single folder only.

IE6 favorites are stored here (for each user):
C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\favorites

I found that my Favorites are stored in C:\Documents and
Settings\username\application data\earthlink\my email address\favorites.
Can I safely drag & drop this file to C:\Documents and
Settings\(username)\favorites or will I lose my Favorites?

Favorites for IE6 are stored in C:\Documents and
Settings\(username)\favorites.
Other programs can have their own favorites(earthlink),
stored in other locations. I would not move any from one
directory to another, or delete them unless you are sure
they are not used.
A test would be to open IE6 and save a page to your
favorites and see where it actually saves and then backup
that file.
