Favicon in Address (URL) Bar Missing?

My IE 6 doesn't show the icons (favicons) for web pages
anymore in the address bar, but when you bookmark them to
favorites, the icons appear. How to you get them to show
up next to the URL? (BTW, Netscape shows the icons just
fine.)

Also are there any tricks (ie html coding) to keep the
icons in the address bar & favorites when developing web
pages so they can't dissapear?

This is because the icons are stored in your browser cache and eventually
the are cleared from the cache. Get a program such as FavOrg to put them
somewhere else so they don't get cleared. You can download it from here:
