fault restoring backup files (.COMPUTER folder)

When I restored backup files for my daughters the computer appeaars to have
genreated two new folders (suzanne.COMPUTER and caitlin.COMPUTER). It did not
do this for the other three membes of the family - the backup files were just
replaced in the original, individually named, 'my document' folders! I have
tried copying the files from these .COMPUTER folders into the original
folders (Suzanne's documents and Caitlin's documents) and deleting the
..COMPUTER folders but although I can do this when I re-boot the machine the
..COMPUTER folders re-appear and these seem to be the default folders for
saved files. How do I get rid of these folders and revert to the original
folders?

It's likely this was caused by changing the password on those accounts.
