FAT32/NTFS

D

David Ray

I have a PC with a 60GB drive, previously running XP Pro, but had been
formatted FAT32.

In an effort to do a clean install to NTFS, I begin an install of XP Pro,
have it delete all existing partitions, then tell it to install NTFS in a
single partition.

It goes through the entire format, when the format is complete, it claims
the HD is "damaged" -- even though the drive was working perfectly before.

Any suggestions?

TIA

David
