I have tried 3 different 370SPC slotkets, with the following 3 processors:
celeron 500 ppga
celeron 733 fc-pga (coppermine)
pentium3 750 fc-pga (coppermine)
I have tried these 370SPC's on two different slot 1 boards, both of which
are compatible with coppermine pentium slot1 processors. I get no POST,
simply a black screen.
I have 2 other slotkets, the "Super Slocket-III" and an "Iwill Slocket
II", and all 3 processors listed above work fine with either one of these,
on either motherboard. These two slotkets are very similar to the 370SPC,
and I simply use them with the autodetect settings.
I have tried both the celeron and coppermine settings, as well as the
single and dual processor settings. I have left the autodetect setting
for the bus on (not overclock), and the intel processor settings.
Is there some special setting that I am not privy to to get these working,
or is there a problem with these slotkets? It seems like it would be
difficult, if not next to impossible, to mess up these jumper settings.
The following is how I interpret that they should be set, for each
processor:
Celeron 500 ppga
jp2 1-2 autodetect bus frequency
jp3 1-2 Intel CPU
jp4 1-2 Intel CPU
jp5 1-2 Single CPU
jp1A 2-3 Celeron CPU
jp1B 2-3 Celeron CPU
Celeron 733 fc-pga
jp2 1-2 autodetect bus frequency
jp3 1-2 Intel CPU
jp4 1-2 Intel CPU
jp5 1-2 Single CPU
jp1A 1-2 Coppermine CPU

Like I said, I also pretty much tried all cominations of single/dual and
celeron/coppermine - except I always left jp2/3/4 on 1-2 (autodetect,
Intel). I actually tried the overclock bus frequency setting, to no avail
- so pretty much the only setting I haven't tried is the Cyrix processor
setting... Please help me if you know anything about this slotket!!!
