Fast User Switching

I have two pcs, one running XP home and the other running XP pro. The XP home pc is using fast user switching and it works fine. I'm trying to set up fast user switching on the XP pro pc. You can put a check mark in the box for this option and it will take it but when you go back to look at it again the check mark is gone. I have compared all kinds of setting on both pcs and they all match. I cannot get fast user switching on the XP pro. Anyone know what's missing?

According to this KB article -
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;279765#Task1 - you
need to also enable 'Use the Welcome screen' option. Is this enabled as
well? If it is then perhaps the Fast User Switching service is disabled.
Have you checked this service?

It's not a problem with Pro, because I use Pro with the Welcome Screen
and Fast User Switching. (Note: You must have the Welcome Screen on to
use Fast User Switching.)
