fast User Switching won't enable

For some reason Fast User Switching no longer works on my
computer. After checking the box, and applying, I go back
to the screen, and the box is unchecked again! the fast
user switching service is set to automatic, but when I try
to start it, it says "error 1068. the dependancy service or
group failed to start"

Make sure taht the Terminal Services started.
Start>Run>services.msc>ok
Now scroll down to Terminal Services and check the status.

Make sure that 'Terminal Services' is set to Automatic.

Terminal Services:
"Allows multiple users to be connected interactively to a machine as well as
the display of desktops and applications to remote computers. The
underpinning of Remote Desktop (including RD for Administrators), Fast User
Switching, Remote Assistance, and Terminal Server."
