Failed Printer Installation ... System Driver Now Missing

Kristi Borst

After an aborted attempt to install printer drivers which were not
compatible with Windows XP, my computer seems to have lost a file needed to
use the printers. It is

c:/windows/system32/spool/DRIVERS/w32x86/3/e_dd10fe.dat

Is there a way to get this file off the installation disk, from download on
the internet or an alternate means?

What I think happened is that the printer installed part way and the system
was looking for the driver for the new printer. I went to the printer
control panel and uninstalled the printer (as it was showing up as the
default). Since then, it's been working fine. Thank you for attempting to
help.

Well it's not on my notebook PC that I'm using right now!

What is the EXACT text of the error message that appears when you install
your printer? Did you do a COMPLETE uninstall CORRECTLY?
