My system specifications are "Intel Pentium-4 2.40 on Intel D865GBF
Motherboard" on which i am using "Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Version
2002 Service Pack 2".

Few days back i caught up with a problem i.e., "when i double click the
drive icons in 'my computer' instead of opening the drive and showing its
contents it ask to select a program to open the drive now the problem is
drive can not b open by selecting the program, also when i right click the
drive icon the first three entries i.e., Open, search and explore are written
as garbage values (not in correct english)"

i also have scanned my system several times with Norton Antivirus,
Symentatic Antivirus, CA etrust Antivirus having latest virus definations but
these anti-virus softwares didnot find any thing affected and supicious. and
i also didnot find any hidden file like Autorun.ini etc.

i also re-install the windows but the only effect was that the drive
containing windows was fixed but other are still having the same problem.

i also tried many windows registry fixes but the problem is still there.

how can i over come this problem?
keep in mind the drive contaning windows is fixed (working properly) and all
other drives are having the problem.

waiting aniuxously for experts' reply

If there is a file named "autorun.inf" in the root of drive then rename it and Reboot.

Windows explorer provides information and access to partitions. Whether or
not such partitions reside in one hard drive, or multiples ones is
immaterial.

Symptoms are suspiciously inline with all partitions on one hard drive
having in excess of 128GB of data. And, one of those partitions was
accessed by ME or 98 operating system.
