Fable problems on save

Running Fable the Lost Chapters on a Windows XP machine with all latest S/W
updates, the saves take FOREVER (meaning, up to 30 minutes). The AUTOSAVE in
particular is unbelievably slow. Also, the AUTOSAVE will crash about 1 time
in 3, and I have to restart the game. When this happens, I get a message
saying I need to start the game in SAFE mode. Any ideas what is going on
here? I've been playing the game for about 30 hours, and this has only begun
happening in the past week. I have put some updates for Windows in, but
Microsoft wouldn't put out anything that would screw up their own games,
would they? :-(
Thanks for any help.

Hi Gregg,

Since that problem just started happening recently, try a System Restore.
