Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000

I have the Microsoft® Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000. PORT : USB

My problem is When I want to enter into the computers BIOS, I have to press
the "F1" key. That does not work it boots right into windows XP. Next, when I
want to go into safemode, either "F5" OR "F8" will not work, it also boots
into windows XP.

Next, when reinstalling windows, I have to press "F6" to load SATA drivers.
This will not work.

Am I missing something here, please help.

Use a PS/2 keyboard to enter the computer's BIOS and enable "Legacy USB
Support" so your PC will be able to recognize a USB keyboard *before*
Windows loads.

Don't mean to be impolite, but have you looked in the manual that came
with the keyboard? If you don't have it, you can download it here:

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/downloads/default.mspx

Did it come with software?

Pretty spiffy looking that keyboard but I can't stand those extra keys
and the F toggling trip.

YES! This worked, I connected a standard PS/2 keyboard and went into the BIOS
and enable the "Legacy USB Support". Now it's working fine.

F1 - For entering the computers BIOS >>WORKS!<<
F8 - For Windows Safemode >>WORKS!<<

The problem was always used a PS/2 keyboard and I was new to USB Keyboards.

Thanks a whole bunch....
