Extracting JPG files from a WORD Doc

T

Tom Ferguson

There is no way to do it directly if the image is placed as an embedded
object rather than linked as a file (Insert Object Create from File and
Link to file). For one way around, have a look at Graham Mayor's www pages-
http://www.gmayor.com/extract_images_from_word.htm

Another method is to highlight the image as for editing and "Copy" it. Next,
open MS Paint or similar [program and "Paste" it into a new document. Then,
"Save as" any format allowed using whatever legal name you want.

What version of Word are you using? If Word 2007 then you can crack open the
..docx file and easily extract them.
