Extracting Folders...

I have and extensive collection of CD/DVDs of my digital photo archives and
would like to automate extracting the contents to place it into a searchable
database. The only data other than the sequencial file names are folder
names. So instead of naming each of the thousands of photos they are placed
in folders with the date they were taken. Then what we end up doing is
renaming the folders with the activity that is in them, but the original file
name is left intact.

Example:
E:\2006 08 31 BWCA Canoe Trip Enroute
DCD0008.jpg
DCD0009.jpg

E:\2006 09 01 BWCA Canoe Trip Portaging and 1 st Camp
DCD0010.jpg
DCD0011.jpg
DCD0012.jpg

Problem:
I would like to extract the "Folder Name" from a given directory and save it
to a table.

Example:
Disk# | Activities
09-2006 |2006 08 31 BWCA Canoe Trip Enroute
09-2006 |2006 09 01 BWCA Canoe Trip Portaging and 1 st Camp
The disk# is entered manually and this would be my key for this table - it
stands for the month and year the disk was archived.
