extra form feed - generic printer driver

Hi all,

I've been googling around with no luck, so:

Has anyone got a solution to overcome the extra form feed produced by
default windows xp generic / text only printer driver? I'm getting
crazy to just do some payslip printing for my user but it always skip
and mess things up.

IMHO microsoft shall be aware that generic/text only driver is only
(or mostly) used by crazy dude like us that still sticked to some old
noisy dot-matrix printer. why would they hardcoding the damn FF into
their driver for the sake of so called "the terminology of
multitasking OS" that makes our live miserable.... i believe many
people encounter this problem since windows 2000 or those upgrading
from win98 or older... do i have a chance to install the text only
printer driver from windows 98???

Thanks in advance.

The miserable,
Jr. Arnold

yey! gotcha!! this is what i've done: (after several round of
googling)

goto "printer and faxes", "file", "server properties", "create a new
form", (copied the size of US std. fanfold) and set height=0.3
inch.... save as us std fanfold (fake)

then right-click on the so called "generic/text printer", set the
following items into "us std fanfold (fake)":

"general" -> "printing preferences" -> "advanced" -> "paper size"
"advanced" -> "printing defaults" -> "paper size"
"device settings" -> "cont. feed- no break"

and the following into cont. feed - no break:

"general" -> "printing preferences" -> "paper/quality" ->"paper
source"
"advanced" -> "printing defaults" -> "paper/quality"

and cya.....

Regards,
Jr. Arnold
