Does anyone know why after a fresh install of XP my
external scsi drive is not accesible it comes up as a
foreign system. This happens every time after I reinstal.
The Seagate Cheetah scsi drive is housed in a Digital hot
swap case with xp saying the drive is "healthy"?

You need to boot from xp cd,look for the text;press any
key to install scsi or raid drivers.Have the 3.5 floppy
ready for installation with xp.

the card doesnt need drivers...its installed already
under windows and running, i just cant access my data on
the disk but its reporting being a "foreign" system.

the scsi card is an adaptec and has a bios which sets the
drives up at POST....

Hi, Fuzzybear.

I haven't been there in a year or two, but I would ask this question in the
Usenet newsgroup where the SCSI gurus hang out: comp.periphs.scsi

They'll know. ;<)
