External HDD needs to be readable on W98SE

Hi,

I recently bought an external HDD, but only the first (20Gb) partition is
visible on W98SE. The second (36.5Gb) partition just does not show up. It is
NTFS. How do I arrange it so that this second partition is visible in W98SE?

I heard somewhere that W98 cannot read NTFS. Is this correct? How do I
change from NTFS to FAT32? The format option in XP doesn't offer anything
except NTFS.

Many thanks,
Alain

Thanks. Reading that article describing the functionality on sysinternals, I
note that it says the utility provides "Read-Only" capability, but then
apparently contradicts itself by mentioning full capabilities, as well as
NOT mentioning this "read-only" aspect in the "Limitations" section.

Does this utility allow you to write to the NTFS volume from Windows 98SE?

Thanks,
Alain
