External hard drive for usb 1.1

How well would an usb external hard drive work with a computer that
only supports usb 1.1? Would there be any problems or errors? I have
no problems with a flash drive but that is a little different.

My old computer only supported USB 1.1 and I got an external HD that was
compatible with both 1.1 & 2. It was slow but functioned.
Friend updated computer with a USB 2 card - much much faster.

If it were me, I would pickup a cheap 4 way usb2.0 pci card..... just pop it
into a spare slot...

my last one was only around £5 sterling

If it's a USB hard drive, it'll work but very slowly. Remember to
use "safely remove hardware" before unplugging it from your computer.
