external hard disk for backup

Hi All ,
Could someone advise me on the best 100 gb disk to buy to allow
me to image my entire hard disk on my desktop (55.84gb disk) on a dell
dimension 2350 with 1gb of memory running msn windows xp sp2.
I would like to use Acronis Imaging software which would allow me to restore
to a new disk replacement if the hard disk were to crash on the desktop.

Well you can but pretty much any hd you fancy, then you would need an
enclosure that matches your hd connection type, or you could buy an all in
one unit of the shelf.
