exporting/importing Outlook from old PC to new PC

I've exported my Outlook to a cd-rom (from my old PC with
Windows 98 & Outlook 2000). I'm importing it into my new
PC (Windows XP & Outlook 2003). I get the following error
messsage "File access denied. You do not have permission
required to access the file F:\outlook backup.pst". What
step am I missing?

You can't use a .PST file directly from a CD. You need to copy it to your
hard drive and then remove the read only attribute from it. Also, make sure
you just open the .PST file in Outlook using File | Open | Outlook Data
File -- importing shouldn't be used as it tends to be a buggy process.
(Import and Export should be used only when dealing with file formats not
native to Outlook.)
