Exporting Emails and Address book from O to OE

Is there a way to export received emails and/or the address book from
"Outlook" into "Outlook Express"?

Any help is appreicated!

In OE go to File -> Import -> Message -> Microsoft Outlook ...... for messages

To transfer the adresses.... exprot the contacts in Outlook to a Csv format.
Then import that to OE from File -> import -> Other adress book

That has always totally baffled me - another example of non-joined up
thinking from MS - if Thunderbird can import addresses direct from Outlook
then why can't Outlook Express? The two have been in existence long
enough.....

Actually, OE can import Outlook 97 - 2002 Addresses; it can import from a
"Microsoft Exchange Personal Address Book", so the thinking was "joined up"
at one time. Enter Outlook 2003 which can open, but not write to nor create
a Personal Address Book followed by Outlook 2007 which can't use a .PAB at
all. In short, there once was a way, but there ain't no more..."baffling"
is such a polite euphemism in this context.
