Export .pst to another computer...

Hi Diane,

I am trying to export a .pst file from my local computer
to another computer (my bosses)...

I have all of my 'customer' emails organized into a
seperate folder...I want to load them up (export) on
another computer...Here is what I have tried...I went to
file/import export/export to file/.pst file..... named
the file and included the folder and subfolders...then
selected a 'save to' destination....It all worked out
great...I can import them back here locally...it works
great..I transfered
the file over my home network to my laptop hard drive and
imported...it worked great also...The computer
that I need to get them to is not on my network so I am
trying to write the file to CD and then import from
the CD...When I do this just as I did when the file was
on a local computer on my network I get a message
"File access denied. You do not have the permission
required to access the file D:\export.pst"
Any ideas??
Thanks for the help...

Copy the file to the HDD and remove the "Read-Only" attribute and then do
the import. Better still, just open the file in outlook, don't bother doing
an import.

Avoid exporting pst files. Just copy them to a CD. In the other computer,
copy them from the CD to some folder on the hard drive. Change their
properties to remove the "Read Only" and then simply open them from
Outlook's File>Open menu. All done.
