export files from MS Word 2003 to Pagemaker6.5

Exporting and placing doc files from MS Word 2003 to Pagemaker 6.5 is not
working. It worked fine with 97 but that filter doesn't seem to work with
2003 version. If anyone had info on this, much appreciated. thanks

If it worked in Office 97 then I assume you were simply opening the file
in Page Maker 6.5. If this is the case then why not use:

FILE, SAVE AS in Word 2003 and select Word97-2000 & 6.0/95 - RTF

Then you can open this [NEW] file in Page Maker.

Alternatively, You will need to save as Plain Text and this can be
imported in Page Maker but you will lose all formats of the document.

pagemaker 6.5 is several years old and my guess is that it can't read the
2002/2003 word format
