export chart from access

Hi,

I want to be able to create a chart in access, (either on a form or report)
and then be able to export that chart as a .jpg or .gif of reasonable quality.

Is this possible / practical ? Any comments or suggestions would be most
appreciated.

At the moment we are exporting data from access to excel and then creating
the charts in excel then copy and paste into word for use in formal reports.
Any assistance for a better way would be good.

I had a simliar problem, maybe my solution is not the best but it worked for
me:

Instead of exporting he data to Excel, link the data to Excel.

Create your charts in Excel using the linked data. As the data is updated in
Access it is also updated in Excel.

Insert the Excel chart in your Word document as an OLE object, once again as
the data is updated in Access, the chart is updated and the OLE object in
Word is updated.

If you are in a network, you can put all the files in a shared folder.

Problem: if the Word file is in a disk then the Access and Excel files must
be in the same disk (files may be too large).

Good luck :)
