explorer switches - /select and /root together?

Hello

I'm trying to launch windows explorer from a program and i want to a)
set the root of the explorer window to a network path (eg
\\server\docs) and b) have a specified file selected in that
directory.

After a bit of investigation i've found the /root and /select
switches:
explorer.exe /e, /root, "\\server\docs" - this works fine
explorer.exe /e, /select, "\\server\docs\mydoc.doc" - so does this

but i can't get them both to work at the same time.

Is this possible?

TIA
